I gamle dage var maltøl et stort hit, ikke mindst som god næring, men nu om dage er det vist mest til at bage rugbrød af, hvilket den er rigtig god til. KingCecil (2087) - DENMARK - JUL 26, 2012

Dark chestnut with a off-white film head. Sweet sweet aroma of toasted sugary caramel. Low carbonation, kinda fat yet watery palate. Sweet sugary flavour with small caramel notes. Yuk.
Bottle @ Brewery. Pours unclear amber with a off white head. Nose is rye-bread and horse manuer. Sweet cloying and syrupy. Shit in it’s truest sense. Brix (714) - Roedovre, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2011
Tasted 2011-01-18. Pours clear, dark amber. This one is so over the top sweet and cloying, that I couldn’t bring my self to finish it. It tastes like liquid brown sugar - and not in the good way(?). Drain pour! NosirIwont (2645) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2010
Bottle. 3 weeks past ’best before’. Pours a clear, deep amber brown with an off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma with notes of bread; rye. Cereals in the background. Sweet, sugary flavour with a mild smoked note upfront and notes of bread in the background. Faint notes of liquorice appear as it warms. Sweet, dryish finish with a lingering mild bitterness; faint liquorice. Pretty nice. More like a ’juleøl’ than a ’maltøl’. 21.11.10.
