Medicibeers version of a beer added Port have an inviting aroma of black currants and dark fruit that characterizes a good port. The taste is somewhat more nuanced with notes of roasted malt and a little nondescript spice. It is quite a good malt flavor, but in the end it is watery and forgettable. Port wine tasting discreetly in the background. storskurk (125) - DENMARK - FEB 28, 2014
Maltsødme, figner let ristet duft.
Mørk kastanjefarve men klar.
Smager rund og lagret men med en for tynd krop til lagringen. Det virker som en Brown ale men bare med noget øllikør smag af urt. Ikke så god.

It’s black (not quite opaque) with a small head. The aroma has notes of anise, ashes, light licorice and malt and hints of port. The flavor is sweet to medium sweet with notes of anise, licorice, malt, light fruit and weak hints of port wine - not very convincing. KennethArd (613) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 2, 2014

Finish is medium long and sweet with notes of caramel, brown sugar, strawberry jam, cherries, ripe red plums and apricot. Overall very sweet.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark ruby with small light tan head. Sweetish aroma of lozenges and malt. Bittersweet flavour of malt and fruit with some roasty and candylike notes. Not quite the flavour of port but rather fruity. Booze in the aftertaste. OK but more interesting than delicious. MiP (15960) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 26, 2013
Bottle, 6.2%. Sweet candy aroma, sweet liquorice, OK roasted. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is fruity with a mild brown sugar note. Ends drier, mild and clean bitterness with more fruit. Does not taste of port as such, but I guess the fruitiness comes from that.
