Denne Jacobsen Barley Wine har et lidt uklart rødligt udseende med et svagt hvidt skum. Øllen har en sød frugtig aroma og smager sødt af karamel og frugt. En god barley wine. Lav karbonering. Flaske nr. 06262 DerGantzel (445) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 24, 2015

It is a beautiful red golden ale. The aroma is a great enjoyment of malt and dark dried fruits like raisins, prunes and figs. Taste-wise it is a little different than other typical barley wines. It is indeed very malty and sweet and hides thereby the tingling sensation as the alcohol very often give in a barley wine. It is like a dry port wine with plenty of fruit flavor and a light taste of mild licorice and tobacco. Long distinct aftertaste with great vinousity. It will be an elegant companion for desserts that are not too screeching sweet, maybe something with a little sour berry fruits to offset its sweetness level. I enjoy it now as a ’stand-alone’ ale and think it’s quite tasty and brewed perfectly. sunevdj (4127) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2015
