COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Original Dark Lager is brewed according to J.C. Jacobsen’s original recipe. The colour is chestnut. It has a Hersbrucker hop aroma while the floor malted Munich malt adds a caramel character. The carbonisation is gentle and the hop bitterness is soft. Enjoy at 6-8º.

Garnet brown beer with a compact and ochre head, low during. Malted aromas, caramel-molasses, fruit compote. The taste is like, roasted and malted with caramel, coffee and notes of licorice, fruity of stewed pear and slight bitter of nuts.

I bought this bottle from Coop, enjoying to find some Scandinavan beers in Switzerland. This one is coming of the giant of the beer world: Carlsberg, like Inbev the appetize of power is so big that they could be able to make a brewery in jupiter. This one is not extraordinary, even though it is drinkable, I take one impression of amstei: not well balanced, caramel side, malt, few hop, like the saaz version, there is one impression of soap, artificial, syrup of glucose, on this way I prefer twice the brooklyn brown ale.
