Grovlam (4211) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2008
[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Spare to no head and lacework. Black color. Good mix of sour and roasted sweet malty notes. Over the palate came chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and Brett like notes. The berries notes can also be detected. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet and acidic with a combination of bitter in the flavor. Roasted malty finish with a twist of sourness.

From tap. Pours murky brown (lots of yeast sediments in the first pour but not the second) to black with a lacing chocolate tan head. Aroma is mild brett bacteria and roasted malt. Smooth malty and mild roasted. Nice accent of brett. Lingering roasted malty with mild berry fruity note. Smoth roasted malt flavour nicely downplayed by the brett. Bitter and yet smooth roasted malty finish. Nice one and very interisting experiement.
