chucklemation (1843) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2018Pours a dark brown with a foamy white head. The overflowing foam head strikes me as odd in a beer that claims to use peanut butter, since the fatty oils in peanut butter usually prevents foam heads from forming. Aroma is like burnt caramel popcorn and nut. Flavor has a similar character, with peanut butter a little more noticeable, along with chocolate, but leaves an odd aftertaste and awful tasting burps. The body is pretty thin with some carbonation. I did not find this very enjoyable.
SG111 (2243) - New York, USA - MAR 22, 2018UPDATED: MAR 22, 2018 Canned. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is lots of PB, chocolate, vanilla, and I get an odd banana ester note. Flavor follows. Tons of PB. Just too thin and way too carbed. Decent. 7/3/7/3/14
superspak (6648) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - FEB 23, 201812 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 12/14/2017. Pours slightly hazy nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Okay aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and peanut butter notes; with solid strength. Weird metallic/phenolic/plasticy notes in the aromas, a little overwhelming. Taste of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Weird metallic/phenolic/plasticy notes after the finish in flavors; but not overwhelming. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and peanut butter flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance; and zero cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.4%. Overall this is a pretty good flavored English porter style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and peanut butter flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. There is obviously something wrong here, but I still enjoyed it. Worth giving another shot on a future batch. A nicely enjoyable offering.
Msdrbeat (785) - East Lansing, USA - MAY 3, 2017On tap at Hopcat. Lots of nuts in aroma. Dark and medium bodied. Peanut butter is good but not overwhelming.

Aroma is full of peanut butter with some sweet dark grains and a touch of roasted malts underlying. Flavor has lots of peanut butter with some sweet dark grains and some dry roast in the finish.
ebone1988 (2400) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2015Aroma is peanut butter, light roasted malt and chocolate. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head, thin. Taste is peanut butter, bread, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is thin, light carbonation, flavor hangs though. Overall, it achieves what it sets out to do, but this could be so much better.
mikem409 (2032) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - AUG 29, 2015Tap at hop cat. Aroma big peanut butter and sweet chocolate. Taste is creamy peanut butter. Nice smooth milky mouth.
njager246 (699) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 19, 2015Aroma is chocolate, peanut, and roazted/burnt malts... taste is just not there, very bur the flavor, peanut comes through nice, but malts seem burnt to the extreme, close to excellence... but not there
BrownALEx (459) - Portland, Michigan, USA - MAY 31, 2015On tap, this beer has so much potential. It lacks in aroma and palate. The taste is lacking the oomph it should have. It almost tastes flat. Decent beer though, drinkable, I might get another.
