Sample at the tasting room. Brownish-black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, hops and berries. The finish is smoky with a lingering malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Dark beer out of the growler with a thick, foamy brown heard that left some attractive lacing on my glass. Nice campfire aroma. Full flavored beer with strong roasted grain and smoked meat flavors. Long warming alcohol finish that seemed higher that the claimed 6%. Really well balanced smoked porter.
