Embrouille (2852) - SWITZERLAND - DEC 17, 2009
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of MoritzF. Hazyish pale golden with a small white head. Mediocre malty nose with diacetyl, paprika and boiled fennel showing up- not pleasant. Metallic taste. Sour and lactic. Diacetyl showing up again. Very low bitterness. Watery. Absolutely not my kind of beer. Disgusting finish which reminiscent of boiled milk, sulphur and salty cabbage. Thanks a lot MoritzF! bottle, delivered by MoritzF! Clear golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied. Malty with hints of grassy hops and a touch of hay. kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - DEC 2, 2009
The bottle looks very simple, the beer in the glass is okay. Quite zippy, nice head. Starts very hoppy and fresh, also very spicy, a bit moldy-earthy, also grasy notes. Absolutely not sourish. Very nice and interesting! pivnizub (10610) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - AUG 19, 2009
Bottle: Golden with a greenish sheen, small persistent white head with a little lace; sweetish-musty nose with illusions of paper and straw; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit oily; simple sweet-bitter finish with a faint touch of alcohol in the aftertaste. Not good at all...... MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JUL 23, 2009
(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Slightly sweet pale malty nose with light dusty notes, a tinge of citrus and herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly strawy malty and chalky taste with light herbal notes; moderately dry and bitter finish with a nasty note of metal (23.VII.09).
