Clear cola brown. Very little head. On the lower side for carbonation, but not really under carbonated. Toasted nuts, slight roastiness like what you get in very light roast coffees. Leaves a slightly sour aftertaste.

Peat flavored caramel with a bit of butterscotch, cherries, grapes, and a little roasted nuts. GTAEgeek (2411) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 13, 2012
22 oz. bottle. Cola colored, bubbly, with no head or lacing. The aroma is rye bread, molasses, peat, and black cherries. The flavor is sweet, sour, and faintly bitter. The palate is medium to heavy, sticky, syrupy, and a little astringent. Overall, this is a big, malty beer, with a good hop profile in the background. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - NOV 1, 2012
22oz bottle. Some thing lurking in the shadows, on the label. Pours oily, reddish-brown color. No head. No fizz. Aroma of toasted malts, liquid brown sugar, molasses, earth, and lager yeast esters. Tastes of burnt sugars, tart malts, toasted grains, burnt bread. Finishes with a little bit of cherry, chocolate malt, and alcohol burn. Thinner bodied than what most would anticipate. Exactly what I had expected from JailHouse and a Doppelbock.
