As in "Deep, deep, deep..." (remember Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop 2?) - this beer was brewed with citrus-forward hops & spiked with lemon & orange peel. Well balanced with a hint of malty sweetness, the bitterness will linger to a pleasing finish.

Draught at Brick Store. Malty lager like (not APA) in taste. Almost like an IPL. Light color. It was ok.

Growler, HopCity. Orange color, white foam. Citrus peel aroma, nice hops. Toasted malts. Flavors of caramel malts, sharp hops. Loads of citrus. Nice hop character. Bitter. Overall, more of an IPA than an APA. (3521)

Hoppy aroma is more like an IPA than a "regular" pale ale, and has firm malty and citrus undertones. Pours a clear, coppery amber with a fairly thick pale golden-buff head. Hops dominate the flavor, which is a little bitter but not too much so, and has notes of malt and sour citrus. Smooth texture has good body, though not a lot of fizz. Overall, if not great, certainly worth a try. IPA fans will probably like this one.

Growler from Moondog. Pours bronze with a small, tan head. The aroma is rye, bread dough, floral hops, and grapefruit. The taste is very bitter, with a little malty sweetness. The palate is medium, sticky, and a little astringent. The aftertaste is long and metallic. Overall, this is a very good pale ale, with a great aroma, but the aftertaste is a little unpleasant.
