Bottle to glass. Pours a clear dark amber color. Little head. Slight citrus hop aroma. Taste is moderately bitter, with good hop profile. Orange citrus presence. Decent malt backbone levels everything out. Palate is well carbonated. Ok. Average.

Slightly cloudy orange pour with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is sweet and citrusy. Medium bodied, sticky malt mouthfeel. Pine and citrus flavors. Abrupt, bitter finish, lingering grapefruit. Decent but not very different or unique in a huge field.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Golden to copper pour with a modest white head and good clarity. Not cloudy. Mellow hop aroma on the nose that is earthy mainly with a slight caramel ester in there too. Nothing over the top, which is how I like IPA’s. Medium body. Like the nose the taste is very pleasant and not disruptive to the senses. You get some caramel biscuit malts and a good hop bitterness at the finish but nothing the lingers awfully long. I like IPA’s that are mellow like this one rather than hopped to the max.

Bottle with Linh and Duffy. Pours a light hazy orange body with light white lacing. Aroma is bitter grapefruit and lots of malt and spice. Mouthfeel is medium and spicy with notes of bitter fruit, resin, lemon, grass and lost of spicy malt.

On tap, cloudy dark gold hue with creamy white head, smells a bit of fragrant citrus orange hop, not overly bitter or thick, kind of a creamy texture, nothing that stands out too much but very drinkable

Bottle thanks to Matt! Pours a clear deep orangish amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a bit of resinous pine underlying. Flavor starts with lots of sweet and earthy grains and has a growing resinous pine note.

I have had this beer before, but I think that the new 12 oz format somehow tastes better. Pours a slightly dark gold with white lasting head. Scent is citrus with hint of candy. Flavor goes bitter front to malty back extremely well. Bubbly and light medium body. Bottle - Intown Market - Atlanta, GA

icehawk (876) - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Dirty straw color with nice foamy white head. Big citrus aroma with candy and floral hints. Nice upfront citrus with a mouth coating resiny feel. Nice candy sweet element makes this unique.

Ratman197 (15368) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 27, 2013
Bomber courtesy of CraftBeerDesign (thanks Geoff) poured a clear tarnished gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit zest and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, light pine and light citrus with a smooth dry lightly bitter lingering earthy finish.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a thin off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and sweet malts. Great balance between the citrus hops, grapefruit rinds, and the sweet malts. Very enjoyable. Not as hop forward as most IPA’s but definitely a good one. Bitter semi-dry finish.
