22 oz. bottle. Pours a bright, hazy gold with a very thin head and no lacing. The aroma is lemons, lime, wheat, and white bread. The flavor is citrus sweetness and a little tartness. The palate is light to medium, acidic, and a little sticky. There is a long, sour aftertaste, but it is mild and kinda nice. Overall, this is a nice wheat ale. Nothing too surprising, but well made.

8/06/2011: Jail House Slammer Wheat... Aroma: Mild citrus along with some white wheat and yeast. Appearance: Cloudy golden yellow color with a frothy off-white head. Flavor: Bright, lemony with some spice; soured wheatiness; no bitterness to mention. Palate: Fairly light, crisp, really refreshing. Overall: Quite tasty; a bit different and unexpected; very drinkable.

22 fl. oz. bottle (Alc. 5% by Vol.) shared by decateurstevo. Thanks! Rating #60 for this beer.

Misty straw gold. Thin white lacey head. Tangy, cereal malt aroma. A little tart up front, lightly sweet, low bittering. Frothy mouthfeel, mild lemony finish. Nice. On tap, at the brewery. With LuckyDog.

Bottle thanks to TheBeerSommelier! Light effervescent pour, lasting head and a light pear and slightly sweet citrus aroma. Flavor is light hay, slightly sweet lemongrass and finished slightly bitter and creamy on the finish. Not my favorite style, but not bad!

First, this is not as good as the Breakout Stout and I’m actually a fan of good wheats. That being said, I haven’t had anything in a long time that’s as good as the Breakout Stout. The wheat character in this is nice. Fairly crisp and pure. There’s a very light tartness typical of wheats and a mild clove. There’s something very slightly vegetal in the finish, but this is an excellent chugging beer. Wheat beers like this don’t cover up flaws at all. This is a good brewer.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet with some citrus and wheat. Flavor is also sweet with hints of grass, lemon, wheat, and orange. A good wheat beer, will be much more enjoyable in the summer.

22oz bomber. Pours yellow/straw with medium-sized white head. Aroma is grassy with touches of wheat, grainy pilsner malt, and a subtle note of fruity esters. Flavor is malty with pleasant touch of breadiness, graininess, and delicate hop flavor. Balanced bready finish with touch of bitterness and doughy malt. Mouthfeel is medium in body with a pleasant slippery quality and a moderate (somewhat lower than expected?) level of carbonation. Overall, not bad (better than I expected).

From bottle shared at Natifest 11 on August 6, 2011 (thanks to the person who brought it--can’t recall who it was). Moderate sweet malty nose, cloudy orange hue, nice sweet fruity taste.

Draft at Taco Mac Prado. Hazy pale yellow pour with a thin white head. Scent is wheat and fruit. Big wheat taste with some citrus.
