Tap. Pours a clear pale yellow gold with a small foamy white head. The nose is wheat driven, a decent touch of spicy rye though. A light Citra hop note over some minimal yeastiness as well. The flavor is a bit thin, the rye doesn’t work all that well, the light citra helps, but there’s not enough earthiness or influence from the yeast. Light bodied and thin with fizzy fine carbonation. A lingering spicy finish. OK, but not up my alley for the style. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 26, 2013
A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Minimal Lacing
S: Yeast, Oranges
T: Yeast, Orange Zest
M: Average Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Super Yeasty
Overall, a sub par saison as the yeast is very overwelming and if there is any spice, it got buried behind the yeast avalanche.
