UPDATED: DEC 28, 2013 Tap. Mostly clear amber pour with a clingy white head. Pretty simple aroma and flavor of caramel malt and mild hop. Okay. wlajwl (7011) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 1, 2011
Decent bready aroma and flavor, easy to drink, not offensive, more of a simple session beer than anything. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - SEP 19, 2010
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear red amber with a nice white head. Aroma of malt with some orange and some hops. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel and hops. Middle of the road brew. DrnkMcDermott (3130) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 19, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Basic nice amber color. Pours a good rocky head, nice clear body with columns of bubbles. Smell offers some nice malty aromas, no suggestion of adjuncts, so thanks for that. Taste is pretty good, malty, but with a good hop note to it, bubbly and a little sticky. Some graniness that does not detract.Crystal malt flavor tends toward the caramel roast side. A noticeable touch of alcohol, but not burning. Again, a nice use of German style hops that offers some spice while holding malts in check. jb (3345) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 6, 2010
Love the rich amber color of this, looks like a very dark orange/amber. Not much head or lacing. Nose is lacking as well. A bit of cookies, some maltiness, some sugary sweetness. Palate is graham crackers, mostly malt, not much else. But this is a drinkable beer.

Bottle. Average beer all the way. Poured a lighter amber color with a white head. The head did last for a little while. Left some lacing on the side of the bottle. Aroma was candy sugar, dark malts, caramel, and yeast. Flavor was thin and watery. Yeast and sugar flavors in the finish. Nothing that special. sethdude (706) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Pours orangey-amber with a very thin head. Aroma is somewhat stale, corn syrup spilled on cardboard, mild pepper notes. Flavor is unoffensive but forgettable, initial bready maltiness balanced by gentle peppery hops and and very slight apple skin note. Drinkable, refreshing. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 9, 2009
Tasted 09/09/09. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Finger width of off-white head. Faint aromas of caramel and doughy bread. Medium bodied with a very smooth malt character. Good amount of sweetness from the malts. No noticeable flaws. Sessionable and easy. Finishes with a mildly sticky sweetness. Little to no hop presence. This is not too bad! Quaffable and mild, but very drinkable. vikingguy (1106) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2009
Pours an attractive golden-amber color with quick diminishing off-white head. Aroma has hints of caramel, malt, grass and some grapefruity citrus. Taste starts w/ sweet caramel and fades to an earthy hoppiness; finally a clean malty finish. Lingering sweet/bitter aftertaste. Light mouthfeel, sweet, moderately hopped. Good easy drinking Vienna style amber. Headbanger (4020) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAY 12, 2009
12oz bottle 5/12/09 (Binny’s Plainfield)-Pours a light amber with a nice tight off white head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Taste of the same. A decent tasting brew with nothing to write home about.
