Pours an attractive golden-amber color with quick diminishing off-white head. Aroma has hints of caramel, malt, grass and some grapefruity citrus. Taste starts w/ sweet caramel and fades to an earthy hoppiness; finally a clean malty finish. Lingering sweet/bitter aftertaste. Light mouthfeel, sweet, moderately hopped. Good easy drinking Vienna style amber. DasBierChef (1083) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Malty, light bodied, somewhat fruity. But thats about it. Very mediocre beer. ravidesai (978) - Bombay, INDIA - FEB 3, 2002
A nice amber,
red, brown colour with a ample head.
malty but not sweet taste that has caramel overtones.
enoyugh hop finish at the end to keep this from being bland.
very nice beer - would have enjoyed it more if it was not dserved in an awful frozen glass. RblWthACoz (964) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 8, 2007
Served out of a can on a Northwest Airlines flight. Pours a brownish/orange with a big head and good lacing. Muted nose with an almost metallic hint to it. Taste is sweet and smooth with just barely a slight bitter end. Flavor doesn’t stay too long, but it doesn’t drop off immediately either. Towards the end you seem to notice some flaws in it’s degree of smoothness which brings down the drinkability.

Nice malty, apricot aroma. At first I thought this was an amber ale (I didn’t look too closely at the label). As it warmed, however, it began to get an odd bitter, nutty, sweaty flavor that did not work for me. As amber lagers go, this is not bad.

Bottle pours a nice amber color with a decent head and no lace. The aroma is of slight hops. The flavor is slightly yeasty, malty, and a minor hop finish with a rather thin body. Overall, fair... hellomynameis (876) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - NOV 10, 2004
I really enjoyed this one. There was a nice fluffly head, and the colour was a very sparkling clear copper type colour. The flavour was good, nice and malty with an excellent hop finish. Honestly the best of it’s category I’ve had so far. jde123 (775) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - FEB 2, 2008
Bottle, not a great beer. I was pleased with other selections from Stevens Point in the James Page line, but this one really disappointed. Aroma was a little skunky, like a poorly made pilsner, flavor wasn’t much better, but did get a better with more time and experience drinking it. Won’t get this one again, if I can. UPDATED: APR 12, 2004 I thought this was some pretty good shit. Dry taste, a little bitter. I can taste the barley. bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into a tall glass.
Appearance: Clear amber with thin off-white head; no lacing.
Aroma: Sweet caramel and bready malts. That’s it.
Taste: Where is the taste? Light bready malts with the slightest touch of noble hops.
Palate: Moderately high carbonation, very thin, watery body.
Overall: I have a hard time believing this is a Vienna. Nothing offensive here, but certainly nothing worth returning to either.
