Pours clear cola brown with a minimal, creamy beige head. Aroma is mostly chai spice, seems a little overboard on the cardamom, a little dark caramel and crystal malt-like sweetness. Flavor is loaded with spice again, but starts off nice and promising, very much chai-like with a light caramel backbone and a hint of black malt that seems to not mix well with some of the spices as by the finish there is a bitter, spicy, woody bitterness, that just doesnít do much for me. Light to medium body with a sugary feel and medium-heavy, soda-like carbonation. Not very good. Honestly, if I did a blind taste test on this I might think it was some sort of weird spiced Birch/Root Beer experimental soda. That would be fine, except that it really isnít very good to boot, not really bad, but not all that beer like.
Deep brown color, with a hint of ruby when held to the light. Tall, tight, tan head with nice lace. Scents of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, vanilla, and biscuits. A spiced vanilla custard flavor. I could see pouring this over ice cream with apple pie. 8/13

Can. Pours brownish. Aroma is spicy gingerbread. Taste is sweet spicy almost gingerbread like. Thin. Not bad but not my thing. L_Dub (2) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 10, 2016 does not count
Mind-blowing. This beer probably is destined for the parking lot at a jam band show, but that doesnít tarnish anything for me. Very drinkable, refreshing, and delicious. Also blends well with a variety of food flavored. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - FEB 5, 2016
2/5/16. 12oz can from Hy Vee, Moline. Black pour under a small khaki head, mild lacing. Faint aroma, light spice and roasted malts. Iím actually digging the flavor at this moment, rich, a touch of sweet vanilla, chai spice, lingering vanilla and a bit of chocolate. Not bad! THIS IS HOW YOU DO CHAI BEER, GODD***IT. Itís well worth the mildly embarrassing name.

Can to pint. Black in color. Off white head. Cinnamon and tea aroma. Chai flavor with some roast. Surprisingly very drinkable. PartyFowle (954) - - MAY 21, 2015
Can. Dark burgundy, opaque, with burnt orange edges. Half a finger of bubbly head the color of, well, chai, becomes as thin ring before too long. Spices come through in the aroma, for sure. Cinnamon, nutmeg, anise, clove, toast. Background of sourdough. Kind of funky behind the sharp spice. Heavy chai flavor. Soft bready base, lots and lots of cinnamon, ginger and clove. Tannic. Body is thinner than Iíd like. Mild CO2, fizzy, peppery and bitter from the spices. The best display of chai flavor Iíve experienced in a beer. Bold yet balanced, intense yet drinkable. csaso (2266) - Missouri, USA - MAY 19, 2015
Can - good size foamy head, almost black color, big time tea & cinnamon aroma and flavor, some mild other spices, roasty malt backbone, definitely a little different, not really my cup of tea (no pun intended!) but I guess it does hit what the brewer was going for ben4321 (6413) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 21, 2015

Aroma: Strong chai tea and spice aroma, ginger, cinnamon, and clove, and it totally works
Appearance: Pours a murky light brown color. almost muddy, small beige head, drippy lace
Flavor: Slightly sweet and full of chai tea spice, works much better than youíd expect
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, super drinkable, with an average carbonation
Iím shocked at how much I liked this one, but it totally works. Great spice forward beer. Tons of flavor. I gotta say, this beer should have a much higher score than it does. Iím not going with the crowd on this one at all.
Lots of ginger and cinnamon on the nose. More ginger and cinnamon in the taste with a decent Porter base. Interesting beer but damn drinkable.
