COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo hops this sessionable pale is sure to please. “One Fifty Lashes is a refreshing Australian-style cloudy pale ale with restrained bitterness and a clean, smooth finish. It’s an easier-drinking beer than others in the James Squire range and a familiar style that Australian beer drinkers will recognise. The use of malted wheat also adds to its refreshing character delivering a beer with a fruity nose and hints of passionfruit, grapefruit and citrus,”

At Manly Wharf , New Zealand on tap at Wharf Bar, pours a hazy gold pour with a small beige head. Very mild citrus nose. Taste is wheaty , grainy and dull without any real kick or flavor. Ends on the grainy dull notes ! Poor excuse for a pale ale. Interesting attended an Aussie who had a pre syncopal episode while drinking this beer . Quaff Score 4 / 10

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 Easy drinking pale ale. No notes are over the top. Well balances flavours for a great all day drinking beer

I'm new to Australia and was recently introduced to this beer. Really enjoy the taste and it's quite good for an every day beer. Find myself buying this more than anything else. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very credible attempt to draw the lager drinker to something more crafty without producing a super dull beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2017 Good pub beer, easy drinking much like all the squires range. Nothing wild.

On tap. Pours a clear straw gold with thin white he’s. Aroma: Mild citrus, pine, grass and tropical notes. Not aromatic. Taste: Biscuity malt, citrus and pine notes. Easy to drink but not particularly tasty. Moderate carbonation. Mild bitterness that lingers. A refreshing and easy to drink beer but not amazing.

Saw this at a bao place. Then saw it advertised all over town. Oops. Bad sign. Basically tastes like a watered down not very hoppy APA. Just the faintest taste of hops.

Pours slightly hazy yellow with a smallish head. Sweetish and fruity aroma. Taste is rather similar. Light and fruity sweetness but some crispy citrus and pine flavours too. Slightly watery overall impression. (373ml bottle, from a random liquor store in Sydney)
