COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo hops this sessionable pale is sure to please. “One Fifty Lashes is a refreshing Australian-style cloudy pale ale with restrained bitterness and a clean, smooth finish. It’s an easier-drinking beer than others in the James Squire range and a familiar style that Australian beer drinkers will recognise. The use of malted wheat also adds to its refreshing character delivering a beer with a fruity nose and hints of passionfruit, grapefruit and citrus,”

gyllenbock (9985) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 13, 2014
Bottle bought in Brisbane 2014. Golden with a white head. Weak and rather boring with light hops, some citrus, bread and some hay. Light bitterness in the finish.

Easy drinking but not really stand out for this style. Limited head formation, low bitterness and little hop character evident.

Off tap from Due East, and 1000’s of other places in the past... Ar: not much some fruitiness and Citrus as expected for a Pale Ale / Ap: Golden and clear, minimal off white head / T: Nothing spectacular, lightly sweet and lightly bitter / P: light, pretty thin, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish / O: Pretty much the stock standard tap Pale Ale now, decent and drinkable, but nothing spectacular or special.

MRMedellin (326) - Bogota, COLOMBIA - MAY 2, 2014
Clear golden beer, small head, standard carbonation malty aromas, some cítric ones also are felt. The flavour is quite simple not too much from the hops is present, and the end is bland. Neither the best nor the worst of the beers I’ve tried so far.

sm89walt (2082) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - APR 16, 2014
Keg - Newport Arms, Newport, Sydney. A clear, bright golden amber colour on the pour with a lasting one-finger white head that left a uniform lace. Citrus, biscuity malts and subtle floral characters. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Light to medium body, medium carbonation and a lengthy zesty bitterness in the finish.

Bottel with cook bay oyesters in Cairns. This is a pretty boring APA without much of he Nelson Hops to distinguish it from the pack. A bit of a let down.
