3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a Bronze-Amber colour, Aroma of slightly stale cereal grains and burnt toffee.
Taste of toasted grains, slight caramel flavours and a very slight bitterness.
Overall. An average brew, nothing too good nothing too bad.
Bottle enjoyed during a holiday in Australia, as the Original Amber Ale. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. Source was the James Squire Brewhouse, Kings St Wharf, Darling Harbour. Tasting notes not kept, just rating. One of the better beers found back then.

Poured from bottle(room temp) a hazy amber with a large head of foam that dissipated fairly quickly leaving 1 large clump and a fine layer.
The smell is quite nice with a mix of malt and hops
The taste was very smooth with nice balance between the hop bitterness and the sweetness from the malt. I also sensed nutty and vanilla tones and they helped make this beer quite drinkable.
Bottom line: This is a good amber ale. One I'd buy again. TimE (6263) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 19, 2017
Deep amber color. Off sweet, malty palate that shows pears, toffee and peaches. Good depth for the style. Nice beer Rathrock (23) - - AUG 13, 2017

Tap at the Crafty Squire, Russell St Melbourne. Poured a clear medium amber with a long-lasting thin white head and clingy lace. The aroma is caramel malt, toffee, light fruit. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, light sweet with a crisp, dry, fruity, dry malt, floral metallic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at The Charming Squire, pours s hazy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, not much else. Flavour brings out fruity berry notes and bready malt. Clean and well-made, just leaving a lot to the imagination. Decent. Gonzin (187) - ARGENTINA - APR 15, 2016
Probada tirada en The Charming Squire, Brisbane. Fácil de tomar, disfrutable.

Bärnstensfärgad till kopparfärgad öl med ett lättare smutsvitt skum. Doften är maltig med inslag av övermogna frukter och karamell. Något för söt och utan balanserande beska. teno45 (2) - - JAN 19, 2016 does not count
Enjoyable. Tasty. Worth buying a carton. Quite easily down a few in a session Rors (7) - - JAN 2, 2016 does not count
This is solid enough in a world where Amber ales are few and far between. Slightly toasty, hint of toffee, subtle nutty finish. Does the job when needed.
