On tap at The Chase. Tasteless, dry and lager-like. Smells like a pool hall. Heavy carbonation. Drinkable if you're very thirsty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from National Brewery Centre, Burton. Pale copper beer with medium head. Aroma of yeast and malts. Taste is malts, hops and a little earthy yeast. More like a bitter than a Golden ale. OK beer.

330ml bottle bought at TASTE in Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.

Clear deep honey amber colour; Very thin head and soapy white foam which last for about 30 seconds; Minimal lacing with lively soft carbonation; Pretty fragrant aroma of ale malt, grapefruit, honey, light pineapple, and light floral; Light sweet taste of ale malt, with molasses, molasses, very light wet cardboard, biscuits, citrus, very light dry bitterness and grass;Mid to light body, thin to watery palate; Mouth feel is pretty basic ale malt, very biscuity and dry with little fruit taste. Quite monotone all the way. Very light wet cardboard creeps up as the beer warms; Hoppiness is focused on light grapefruity and floral nose, light to faint lime and grass taste with no liquorices, and mildly detectable bitterness for an empty finish; Dry after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comments: This one has promising looks and quite fruity aroma, but its taste has no variety and has some wet cardboard to ruin the party. Below average, not a bad one but not recommended, either.

Clear golden colour with a dissipating head. A few citrus notes but nothing that really stands out. An easy drinking beer.

Golden pour, quickly disappearing head. No real wow factor. Very subtle fruity hop aroma and taste. Feels like theres something missing.

330ml can. Golden amber colour, off-white head leaving some lacing and aroma is malt caramel, fruity. Taste is sweetish malt with caramel, toffee, honey, oak, fruity hop notes and a light bitterness. Creamy mouth feel, light bodied, well carbonated. Quite OK.

Its a bottle I picked up in Seoul at an import supermarket in Itaewon. It pours a great amber gold with a lot of effervescence. The aroma was mild & fruity with hints of peach or kumquat...? It has a great body with a nice mouthfeel over a caramel malt base & a very mild fruity hop finish. As I continued to drink it, it started to remind me of Old Speckled Hen or other average run of the mill UK beers from Yamaya... a bit of a let down, it could use a better hop finnish which would push the rating up a lot.

Appearance: Darker golden body with a small amount of white head (1 cm) which disappears a little too fast. Small amount of lacing down the glass. Aroma: On the bad side of average. Quite yeasty, with some green plant-like undertones. Taste: Sharp, minerally, tangy and a hint of another taste I couldnt identify (salty?). I was seriously thinking about not finishing the glass! Mouthfeel: Light and dry body, a bit too carbonated. Drinkability: Could hardly finish the glass. Have accidentally ordered it again (on-tap) and it was just as bad (I got mixed up with the JS Amber Ale, which I like).
