Appearance - Rose Gold almost amber colour. Crystal clarity. Medium carbonation. Poor head retention. Smell - Medium hop, floral, light tropical fruit, mandarin aroma. Slight malt detectable Taste - Medium carbonation. Medium hop, dry & yeasty. Some citrus in there somewhere. Slightly bitter after-taste. Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation, dry and light body Drinkability - Light beer, easy to drink Overall - A bland beer, with little body, character or flavour. Printed on the side of the bottle : Brewed using toasted grains of wheat & barley with Amarillo hops for a tropical fruit aroma, Golden ales is ideal thirst quenching beer

A great session beer with just enough character to keep you drinking. Great option when in a common drinking hole and you see this on tap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma. Very feint tropical fruits aroma. Appearance. Pours a golden colour like the name would suggest. Taste. I can taste banana and citrus flavours, and surprisingly some alcohol flavours. Overall. A good beer, best enjoyed on a nice hot day with some fish and chips.

can on a qantas flight nice golden colour with pure white head . not much aroma taste is surprisingly malty I was expected a really bad mass produced lager Some one else said it had some hints of Pale Ale - I know what they mean . not too bad and it helped to pass a long flight would choose this over Fosters Castlemaine and most other mass produced crap that comes out of Oz

On tap; pours an orange-golden colour with clean white head, a touch of lace; aroma is bland with a slight hoppy bitterness and some piney smells; taste is quite malty with some floral characters and a just the tiniest hint of some apricot; palate is pleasantly bitter with some great malty flavours lingering for a while. Overall a decent and very easily sessionable ale. Im glad its cracked the Aussie commercial market so I dont have to drink commercial bitter and lager every time I go to the pub.

Pours a golden body with a nice white head. Aroma is lacking a lot its smells more between a lager and a pale ale no real hops or fruits here pretty bland. Taste is the same just a bland watered down ale with little hops and mild bitterness. Average beer

Dobre, zwłaszcza z wyglądy. Piana jak kożuch, mocno się zaznacza na szkle. Kolor złoto miedziany. Aromat drożdzowy. W smaku średnia goryczka i owocowość umiarkowana.

Smells of nothing. taste is reminiscent of temples esb, but lighter in a good way. This beer is a con, nothing tasty or interesting about it. Put simply it is somewhere between an Oz lager, like vb, and an American lager, ie bud. Would drink VB any day over this tasteless rubbish

A-- Poured a clear honey, gold straw color. One finger off white head that quickly died down to just above film. Lots of carbonation showing on the sides of the glass. Half finger of head on swirling. Just a bit of soapy lacing on the sides of the glass. S-- Sweet malt, honey, stewed vegetables and a touch of metal.. Hops are just a touch floral. T-- Stale bread, vegetables and honey. Tastes old and a lot like an adjunct. M-- A lot of sweet honey and malt in the mouth. It is creamy and quite carbonated. Hops are really eaten up by the sweetness in this but a better mouthfeel than taste. D-- Drinkable on a hot day but otherwise nothing to get excited about.

On tap at the Portland Brewhouse. Served a bronze color with a decent thick head that fades slowly to nice lacing. Aroma of some hops and malt sweetness and a bit of herbs in the background. Taste is a mix of citrus and malt sweetness with a hint of honey. Decent bitterness and a dry finish. fairly medium body, quite smooth and creamy. Nice golden ale, nothing to rave about, but is good for a few.
