Golden pour, quickly disappearing head. No real wow factor. Very subtle fruity hop aroma and taste. Feels like there’s something missing.

330ml can. Golden amber colour, off-white head leaving some lacing and aroma is malt caramel, fruity. Taste is sweetish malt with caramel, toffee, honey, oak, fruity hop notes and a light bitterness. Creamy mouth feel, light bodied, well carbonated. Quite OK.

It’s a bottle I picked up in Seoul at an import supermarket in Itaewon. It pours a great amber gold with a lot of effervescence. The aroma was mild & fruity with hints of peach or kumquat...? It has a great body with a nice mouthfeel over a caramel malt base & a very mild fruity hop finish. As I continued to drink it, it started to remind me of Old Speckled Hen or other average run of the mill UK beers from Yamaya... a bit of a let down, it could use a better hop finnish which would push the rating up a lot.

Appearance: Darker golden body with a small amount of white head (1 cm) which disappears a little too fast. Small amount of lacing down the glass. Aroma: On the bad side of average. Quite yeasty, with some green plant-like undertones. Taste: Sharp, minerally, tangy and a hint of another taste I couldn’t identify (salty?). I was seriously thinking about not finishing the glass! Mouthfeel: Light and dry body, a bit too carbonated. Drinkability: Could hardly finish the glass. Have accidentally ordered it again (on-tap) and it was just as bad (I got mixed up with the JS Amber Ale, which I like).

Appearance - Rose Gold almost amber colour. Crystal clarity. Medium carbonation. Poor head retention. Smell - Medium hop, floral, light tropical fruit, mandarin aroma. Slight malt detectable Taste - Medium carbonation. Medium hop, dry & yeasty. Some citrus in there somewhere. Slightly bitter after-taste. Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation, dry and light body Drinkability - Light beer, easy to drink Overall - A bland beer, with little body, character or flavour. Printed on the side of the bottle : Brewed using toasted grains of wheat & barley with Amarillo hops for a tropical fruit aroma, Golden ales is ideal thirst quenching beer

A great session beer with just enough character to keep you drinking. Great option when in a common drinking hole and you see this on tap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma. Very feint tropical fruits aroma. Appearance. Pours a golden colour like the name would suggest. Taste. I can taste banana and citrus flavours, and surprisingly some alcohol flavours. Overall. A good beer, best enjoyed on a nice hot day with some fish and chips.

can on a qantas flight nice golden colour with pure white head . not much aroma taste is surprisingly malty I was expected a really bad mass produced lager Some one else said it had some hints of Pale Ale - I know what they mean . not too bad and it helped to pass a long flight would choose this over Fosters Castlemaine and most other mass produced crap that comes out of Oz

barakihunter (187) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 22, 2012
On tap; pours an orange-golden colour with clean white head, a touch of lace; aroma is bland with a slight hoppy bitterness and some piney smells; taste is quite malty with some floral characters and a just the tiniest hint of some apricot; palate is pleasantly bitter with some great malty flavours lingering for a while. Overall a decent and very easily sessionable ale. I’m glad it’s cracked the Aussie commercial market so I don’t have to drink commercial bitter and lager every time I go to the pub.

jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 7, 2012
Pours a golden body with a nice white head. Aroma is lacking a lot its smells more between a lager and a pale ale no real hops or fruits here pretty bland. Taste is the same just a bland watered down ale with little hops and mild bitterness. Average beer
