330ml bottle. Pours a deep amber with two fingers of fine off white head. Nose is orange, slight peach and a bit of a boozy note. Taste is really just some citrus and pine, with lots of bitterness on the finish. Body is medium. Not particularly impressed by this. The flavour profile and aroma are very boring. Perhaps its an old bottle. This one night need a re-rate.

...bottle sample at microbrew fest in 2007. Golden amber with a tanish head that lasted. From what I remember this wasn’t great, and was very overdone and unbalanced. The flavors were beastly, but not in a good way. Maybe that was due to the fact it was served at the wrong temperature. It was overly sweet and burnt, with the wrong mixture of hop flavors, and hints of alcohol. It finished overly bitter, with a strong alcohol aftertaste. From the good ratings it recives, maybe I need to try it again to be sure.

Well balanced brew - heavy toffee malt (a bit too toasty for my palate) and earthy herbal hops - serious ale - dark in the glass and thick on the tongue like an English beer. Enjoyed although I prefer the American style, paler, less malt-driven, fruitier high octane ales.

This wasnt as hoppy as i was hoping. drank it after having the Holgate Hopinator which really showed this beer up. I may not have had a fresh botlle though which would definately affect the amount of hop aroma and freshness of the flavour.

Nice malty aroma. Clearish brown colour with ok head. Strong alcoholic malt flavour with smooth bitter finish. Heavy body with low carbonation.

Copper in colour with a thick head that slowly dissipates into a think film, nice aroma. Good taste however alcohol is a little prominent in the taste. Overall a enjoyable beer and a solid ipa from Australia.

Bathory (458) - Kverneland, NORWAY - DEC 27, 2013
Pours almost a brown colour with a good white head. Strong aroma of peach, passionfruits and some malts. Taste, however, is s bit disappointing. Way too malty and a tad to bitter for my taste. Some tropical fruits also, but not that present. Quite big body, fizzy aroma and a abit sticky mouthfeel. Overall, an okey IPA, but some flaws in my opinion.

Dark orange colour, with almost a redish hue. Quite cloudy. Fruity aroma with perhaps a hint of caramel. Bitter fruit flavour. ABV is quite overpowering, would have otherwise been a fine beer.

HopRedHead (397) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 18, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a cloudy copper with a thin tan head. Resin hop aroma with a balanced toffee back. Taste is very dimensional. Tasting a variety of hop flavours like citrus, tropical and also piney/resin, all while retaining the toasty caramel undercurrent. Booze is concealed, just a slight warmth in the bitter aftertaste. Great IPA.
