My first beer of this years festival and what a start it was!! Dark brown with a small tan head. Dark roasted malt aroma along with chocolate and liquorice. Very full and nice with a good complexity. Sharp and biding flavor of roasted malt and liquorice with a tone of berries. A bit alcoholic, but the alcohol is well integrated. Bitter finish. A very tasty and interesting porter that I hope to see on bottle one day!
Draught at Plain Kitchen, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Black with a brown head.
Roasted aroma with toffe. A bit sourish.
Soft and smooth palate.
Milky, salty and roasted flavour with some licorice.

On draught at Plain Kitchen, Göteborg.
Black, with a tint of red. Light brown head. Loads of toasty licorice in aroma and the familiar house yeast character. Chewy, fiery mouthfeel. Licoricy backbone with a sweetness, that’s perfectly balanced by a robust bitterness. Might as well be taken for an Imperial Stout. Great beer! hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2005
Pure black colour, decent beige head. Hoppy, yeasty roasted malt nose. Jämtlands house character. Flavour from chocolate and coffee. Somewhat fruity and caramelly finish. larsam (127) - Southampton, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2005
Rated @ Stockholm beer festival. Black with cream coloured head. Lots of roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma. Flavour is full with roasted malts and citrus. A nice one! Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2005
[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] An almost opaque brown beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet with lots of notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet roasted giving it notes of chocolate, but the alcohol is also present. The roastiness gives it a dry end, with an aftertaste of coffee. Keg @ Stockholm Beer Festival 2005 Rating # 600
Very dark and very aromatic with chocolate, (hard) toasted bread, some vanila, some red berries and other stuff. Rich head. Palate is full bodied, Flavours it got plenty. As with the aroma lots of stuf and a dry finnish even if the beer itself is on the sweet side. The alco content could not be tasted in most of the samples (some though, did have this off flavour for some unknown reason.) A new favourite from my favourite brewery. Hope they will continue this velvety Baltic Porter. (No plans at present)
