En trevlig imperial stout som fungerar lika bra till en kraftig köttgryta som i favoritfåtöljen med en bit lagrad prästost.

Is this an Imperial Stout?! Weak smell of urea and chocolates. Very hoppy, tastes of raisins. Smooth, still not creamy. A bit fizzy on the palate. Quite bitter. Very different compared to most beers in this style. Easy to drink though.

Dark amber towards black, full head. Toffee and sweet chocolate in the aroma. Also some licorice in the taste. Soft and balanced.

A little too weak. Good roasted malt with light sweetness and sourness, but I miss the rounder flavors of dried fruit or toffee that is completely lacking in this brew.

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (28:-). Svart med ett tunt skum. Choklad, kaffe, lite lakrits, rostade toner. Medelfyllig.

500 ml bottle. Dark ruby brown with lasting tan head. Aroma nice and smooth, of dark malts, coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is smooth and silky, dark roasted malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee notes and tangy hints. Finish is long and nice with liquorice and dark chocolate. Very nice

Aroma: Smelling of dark bread, col, coffee and a whiff of smoke.
Appearance: A clouded brown colored beer. A tan head with no lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet dark bread, dark dates, chocolate, coffee and a hint of licorice.
Palate: Low carbonation, a soft texture. A small body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Surprisingly small body and lack of character.
Note: Reviewed 2013-05-12.

Då var det dags att stuva om i den jämtländska skytteligan. Överlägsen skyttekung är, från och med nu, Baltic Stout. Pricksäker och fullständigt briljant.

Bottle. Chestnut, cappuccino tan lace. Roasted sugar, liquorice and herbal hop aroma. Sugar, malt roast, smoke, chocolate and licorice notes, light citric and herbal retronasal. Medium full body, sparkly light on the front of the palate, solid on the exit - the brew feels a lot like like a typical scandinavian spicy licorice sweet.
