Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 2, 2013
Bottle @ RBESG’13 Grand Tasting @ De Molen: Served in a Molen taster: Thanks for sharing rlgk/Aniela:
Medium sized creamy vanilla beige foamy head that changes slowly on top of a clear brown colored beer.
The aroma has some typical tones like toast, grains, roasted barleys. Not much else next to a hint of coffee.
The flavour is nice bitter with a good roasty touch, think of roasted barley malts, some grain toast and some herbal roast/toast. Also some chalk, floral, cream and chocolate flavours. Pretty nice.
Low carbo, creamy silky mouthfeel, good medium to a lightly fuller body and a creamy light oily texture. Nice beer as it is balanced and nothing too exaggerated. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - AUG 6, 2013
Bottle @ RBESG. Aroma has big caramel, liquorice and some smokey notes. Flaovur is light smoke, roasty molasses and some caramel. Nice. Franzen (647) - SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2013
Bottle from systembolaget KnutAlbert (6791) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 13, 2014
Aroma has a typical roasted sourness that usually is found in porters. There is plenty of burnt aroma and some aroma of wet wood. There are aswell hints of chocolate and some alcohol in the aroma.
It pours black with a bit too quickly dissipating beige foam.
Nice roasted burnt flavour rounded of with a nice bitterness. There is some alcohol aswell in the taste but not much,
Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. It is to carbonated for the style.
It is a nice competent stout although not extraordinary
*Bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark brown. Lovely roasted malt flavour. Smoke, liquorice, a hint of salt. Balanced sweetness, very pleasant. I’d enjoy a barrel aged version, or perhaps a stonger edition. Terminus (3716) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 19, 2016
Bottle-thanks to Gnoff for this fine brew. Pours almost black with a small soapy white head and no lacing. Nose is chocolate lite char and roast. FLavors are chocolate char and nice big baking chocolate on the finish. not very sweet like you would think for a Baltic. Body is medium with moderate carbonation Even without the head it showed good carbonation. nice brew!

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Near black, small beige head. Rich licorice aroma. Sweet and malty with citric hops on top of it, some molasses creates an oily mouthfeel. Tarry finish. Rock solid. Bamsen78 (5562) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours cloudy coffee brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel. Bittersweet taste of roasted malt with notes of coffee beans and subtle touches of dried fruit. Slightly sourish aftertaste. A nice one. Benzai (16682) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 29, 2013

50 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to rlgk & Aniela. Ruby hued dark brown, almost no head. Smell is light wine, creamy mocha, liquorish, uneatable berries, herbs. Taste is bitter liquorish, herbs, sweet mocha, coffee, lightly creamy, bitter herbal in the finish, hint of soy. Touch lighter but creamy body. Agreeable, not too shabby.
