JensenTaster (1719) - DENMARK - JUN 9, 2005
(on bottle)Clear, very dark brown with a beige head. very sweet, almost cloying molassses and canesugared sent. watery and burnt taste with a coffeeish finish. The best part of this beer seems to be the very long finish, with notes of rom and raisins

hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - MAY 22, 2005
Pours dark brown mahogany, with a thick beige head. Hoppy, buttery nose. Smooth, rounded flavour from dark chocolate, toffee and hops. Great bitterness in the finish. Full bodied.

Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - MAY 15, 2005
Almost black color with a small head. Body is medium to light. Taste is coffee and roasted malts with a bit of dare I say hoppiness? Somehow, it’s just a bit tart. Carbonation is a bit crisp but the flavors don’t meld all that well.

Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - APR 9, 2005
Bottle. Dark brown with bubbly beige head. Packed to the brim! Malt, coffee, dark chocolate, leather, vegemite, chalky (do not want to steal duff’s ashtray/charcoal - but that’s more it!), dry and bitter finish. Full, fluffy(?) mouthfeel. I love it - must be one of the best bottom-fermented beer I’ve ever had.

Kinnaj15 (275) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 3, 2005
Bottel. Black with ligth brown disapering head. Mild but dark taste with good aftertaste with hints of coffee, roasted malts and a dry/bitter after taste.

Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 3, 2005
Bottle from Ølbutikken. Brown colour with a medium baige head. Light roasted fruity malty and hoppy aroma and a sweet dry roasted fruitz light bitter taste. Medium bodz and a drz finish.

bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - FEB 17, 2005
Bottle. The liquid is clear; the colour is very deep wine red. The compact, finger-thick foam is beige and firm.

The smell is dominated by a fruity flavour of cascade hops, but there are also notes of burned malt, toffee and diacetyl.

The carbonation is fresh with small bubbles.

The taste is rather complex with notes of burned malt and a solid bitterness and a fruity body. The finish is balanced with notes of black coffee and a fine fruity sweetness.

I like!

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - FEB 14, 2005
Bottled. Black/dark brown opaque, decent brown head. Malty and a bitter hoppy aroma. Bitter hoppy taste with roast coming in strong. Aftertaste is more bitter than the bitterness while drinking it.

TBone (18547) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 1, 2005
Bottled (BB 04/2005)
Almost opaque dark ruby, creamy expresso head. Aroma has roast, cold coffee and hints of hops. Medium to full bodied, lots of roast with hints of sugar. Bitter finish. There is just something plastic in the palate which prevents this to being an excellent.

Eructoblaster (4453) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 21, 2004
Dark brown opaque body topped with a lasting beige creamy head. Nice malty aroma with strong roasted coffee hints. Well-balanced taste dominated by the coffeeish flavor. Strong bitter finish. If this is the beer they drink in Heaven, then I hope I’ll get up there when I die!
