Almost black colored with mild red tones. Hoppy, bitter and dry aroma with some sweet caramel tones, maybe some herbs come up too. Flavor is rich with roasted coffee, herbs and endig turns out to be strongly dry, herbal taste giving nice character. Good brew, still expected more out of this. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 28, 2004
(Bottled) very dark brown-red color with a medium, tanned head. Roasted, quite dry aroma, but with some caramely-plummy maltiness and moderate hopping. Very roasted-malty, but still quite dry and ashy flavor. Smooth, chalky, medium-bodied palate. A tasty and quite complex dunkel. jonas (7748) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 27, 2004

Godd complex aroma: Pine, Marzipan, roses and milk chocolate.
Dark chestnut colour, tanned creamy head.
Milk chocolate, burned, strawberry minerals and slightly ashen notes dominate the flavor. Medium body.
Fruity vinuous sweet nose, malts, and tangy hops. Smoky, roasted dimension, too. Dark black with tan foamy lacing head. Medium body with light carbonation. Starts with subtle chocolate sweetness, roasted malts, light sour. Finish is smooth malts. After is roased bitter. OlJuntan64 (1265) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 4, 2004

Dark red-amber colouredbeer with a small head. Slightly roasted malty, molasses aroma. Roasted malty taste with a dry light bitter burned smoky finish. A nice and interesting beer but I would not drink a lot of it. MartinKubert (862) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 30, 2004
Smokey malty and rubbery aroma. Nothing special. Some tea-leaves in flavour and finish. Not very nice. Jeppe (2631) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - FEB 19, 2004

Dark brown beer with a fine brown head. Sweet and full aroma of malt, chocolate and caramel with creamy and Jämtland yeasty notes. Mostly sweet in the flavor, roasted malty with spice, hop and fruit. Tasty and well-balanced and really smooth. A beer I could drink again and again.
Bottled: Deep burgundy coloured. Ligth brown medium lasting head. Chocolate, hops and fruit in the aroma. Hops, fruit, light yeast notes and some chocolate notes in the flavour. Has a nice lasting bitterness in the end. Bov (13004) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 18, 2004
