Aroma of roasted malts and bitter chocolate. Very dark brown beer with red tones. Head is beige and creamy, not long lasting. Flavour is sweet and filled with bitter chocolate. Finish is dry, with good cleansing bitterness. Soft on the palate, a bit watery body. Even though it is bottom-fermented, it tastes more like a decent porter than a schwartzbier ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2005

(Bottled) very dark brown-red color with a medium, tanned head. Roasted, quite dry aroma, but with some caramely-plummy maltiness and moderate hopping. Very roasted-malty, but still quite dry and ashy flavor. Smooth, chalky, medium-bodied palate. A tasty and quite complex dunkel.
