sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 28, 2004
(Bottled) very dark brown-red color with a medium, tanned head. Roasted, quite dry aroma, but with some caramely-plummy maltiness and moderate hopping. Very roasted-malty, but still quite dry and ashy flavor. Smooth, chalky, medium-bodied palate. A tasty and quite complex dunkel.

tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - JUL 17, 2011
Bottle 50 cl, Sir Winston, Östersund. Pours pitch black with a light brown head leaving lace. Aroma is roasted, malty, hay, smokey and fruity. Big roasted body; acidy, fresh, hoppy, fruity and slightly sweet flavor. Finishes bitter roasted.

Eructoblaster (4326) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 21, 2004
Dark brown opaque body topped with a lasting beige creamy head. Nice malty aroma with strong roasted coffee hints. Well-balanced taste dominated by the coffeeish flavor. Strong bitter finish. If this is the beer they drink in Heaven, then I hope I’ll get up there when I die!

Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2004
Fruity vinuous sweet nose, malts, and tangy hops. Smoky, roasted dimension, too. Dark black with tan foamy lacing head. Medium body with light carbonation. Starts with subtle chocolate sweetness, roasted malts, light sour. Finish is smooth malts. After is roased bitter.

Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2007
Bottle. Large creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Fair lacing. Dark mahogany color. Butter, caramel, brown sugar, liquorish and burned notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light to moderated malty burned bitterness. At the same time some sweet flavor that balance this beer. Light bitter burned finish.

thomat (4089) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 24, 2006
A very nice dark lager. Color is dark redish brown with a thick beige foam. A smooth brew with chocolate notes and a good bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2004 Bottled. Dark brown. Roasty nose, lots of chocolate and licorice. Wonderful flavour, unbelievably yummy. Richly hoppy with notes of chocolate and slightly licoricy.

tomer (3691) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - AUG 30, 2015
At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, deep brown color, grainy dairy aroma with some charred wood, intens flavor of bittersweet chocolate, with earthy and smokey hints, mellow lingering bitterness. Quite nice.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 11, 2004
Almost black colored with mild red tones. Hoppy, bitter and dry aroma with some sweet caramel tones, maybe some herbs come up too. Flavor is rich with roasted coffee, herbs and endig turns out to be strongly dry, herbal taste giving nice character. Good brew, still expected more out of this.
