Bottle 500ml. @ home.yespr (44698) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2007
Clear dark red amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hay, roasted, caramel, spicy, dark berry, light hoppy, citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, peppery and alcoholic finish. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
From 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy light brown with chalk white lacing head. Malty sweet and orange fruity aroma. Flavour is malty, slight smoked with a light orange note before the finish. Dry bitter finish. Ungstrup (37204) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2003
The aroma is sweet, nutty, and yeasty with notes of chocolate. The color is nut brown and it has a beutiful light brown head. The flavor is fantastic: it is sweet and nutty with notes of bitter chocolate and roasted malt. It finishes on a nice mixed sweet and bitter note with the bitterness lingering for a long time and turning woody dry at last. The bitterness comes more the malt than the hops. The body is a little weak for a beer of 6.5% ABV, but is OK. A great beer - thanks Per. joergen (27970) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2005

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very dark brown, almost black with a rather small head and rather low carbonation. Top-fermented and very malty with a good bitterness and an underlying sweetness. Very full-bodied. Actually reminds me of a Belgian "Dubbel". 090603 omhper (24956) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2002
Dark nut brown with rich head. Flowery and chocolatey aroma. Fruity and full bodied with nice malt profile.
Surprisingly dry. Finishes like dark bitter chocolate. More on the malty side and less hoppy than the average ale from Jämtlands Bryggeri, and one of my very favourite Swedish brews. fiulijn (20370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 8, 2003
Ruby-dark amber color; generous head. Strange aroma, with some malt, hop, caramel, phenol, fudge. Not very strong body, but enough pleasant, with an extra light note of roasted barley. Dry ordinary palate, quite strong but not enough aromatic, with a touch of sourness. Not bad, but diminished by something chemical. Beerhunter111 (20325) - P´Castle, GERMANY - DEC 26, 2016
33cl bottl from a trade with omhper, many thanks! Pours hazy reddish brown colour with a huge good lasting tan head. Aroma of medium sweet dark malt, ripe red fruits, dry and medium bitter hops. Taste of dark malt, sweet malt, dark bread, caramel, red fruits, spruce, quite nice!
