Dark copper colour with a rich off-white head. Lots of caramel in the aroma. Rich hoppy flavour of roasted malts, vanilla and some licorice. DrBeer (862) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 3, 2004
Dark redbrown with pretty good beige head.
Malty aroma with tones of coffee and roasted malt. A bit hoppy.
Caramel flavour with fruity tones. Quite low bitterness for being a Jämtlands beer thomat (3868) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2006 Pale amber with a thick pale foam. Malty and fruity notes (citrus ?). Medium body with a dry finish. lgklotet (432) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 4, 2006
Bottle. Deep amber/red. Malty throughout with hints of hops. Lacking in some way.. Slightly disappointed, but I find Jämtlands to be slightly hyped.. Defreni (3227) - Husum, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2008
Flaske. mørkebrun øl med et tydeligt duftindtryk af alkohol og nødder. Fin humlebitterhed efter en let brændt øl der ikke er så julet igen, hvilket er meget lækkert.

Bottle. Clear dark amber colour with okay head. Very nice flavour with chocolate and burnt malt. Bitter hoppy flavour. Oakes (17697) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 1, 2000
Dark mahogany hued ale, subtley spiced with what tastes like cinnamon and orange zest, but also with good
dark malt character and the trademark earthy hoppiness and notes of cocoa. A little sweeter than your average Jamtlands. jfm (1724) - Holbæk, DENMARK - JAN 30, 2004
Deep chestnut color with a beige head. The taste is sweet and hoppy. It finishes slight weak. SlimJimDrinker (115) - Nørrebronx, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2004
A complicated beer from the best brewery in Sweden. quite complete in taste body and aftertaste... Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 1, 2007
Vintage 2006. Dark amber with a red hue and a nice creamy head. The aroma is hoppy and spicy with notes of malt. The flavour has nice hoppy notes and a good bitterness, notes of fruit, roasted malt and caramel. Sadly also a bit of alcohol, that brings the flavour a slightly out of balance, and makes it a bit edgy and not as harmonic as the other lovely Jämtland beers. But it’s quite nice anyhow. 1837
