Clear amber color, small tan head. Caramelly, grassy-woody nose. Caramelly malty, nutty hoppy, slightly metallic, fizzy beer. Short sweetish finish.
Bottled (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel, hops, grass and some slight spicyness. Flavour is grass, hops and some herbs. Rather grassy and dry. Svesse (8932) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2008
(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with frothy, lasting, beige head. Hoppy, malty nose with notes of orange, caramel, toffee, chocolate and citrussy hops. Malty taste with orange, grapefruit, caramel, milky chocolate, wild berries (cowberries, raspberries?), hazel nuts and lots of citrussy hops in the finish. Slightly above medium body. Sweetish malt. Complex stuff with lovely balance. Great stuff. JustinBathurst (134) - Corner Brook, Newfoundland, CANADA - JUL 14, 2008
Pours orange brown with a 2 cm tan head.
Aroma is a touch of roasted malt, red licorice, molasses, grass.
Mouthfeel is smooth and has medium-high carbonation.
Taste is bready malt, a bit of coffee, with a nice bitter finish. It’s a bit metallic and musty.
A pretty average beer. Bov (13354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 4, 2008
courtesy of Per - pours a clear dark amber colour under a little beige foam; decent hoppy nose with notes of citrus, nut and caramel; slightly earthy; a moderate initial sweetness, very malty and tasty, some astringence, a fair bitterness leads to a long malty caramelish and gently spicy finish - a solid beer

50 cl botte - Thick amber colored beer with a small dark head. Aroma is dominated by english malts with some dried grass. Flavor rests heavily on caramel with some hops. Not as good as the X-mas sort. A bit disappointing really. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Pours an almost clear amber with a dense, yellowish head leaving a neat lacework. Somewhat rustic and dusty hoppy nose - probably from the English hops. Medium-bodied with some caramel and fruit and a light underlying acidity. Some hops in the finish. 250308 Gusgus (237) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAY 24, 2008
Bottle. Dark brown with small head. Typical ’Jämtland’ flavor. Tobacco boiled green peas, coffee, chocolate, citrus, smokey, apricots. Medium body. Balanced bitterness and just a hint of alcohol. Caramel and chocolate flavor with a hint of lemon and licorice. Lightly herbal finish of aniseed and coffee. kkearn (1221) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2008
500mL bottle, from lagomswedish. Pours clear brownish amber, with a short tan head. Sweet malt aroma, with some chocolate, anise and other herbs. Flavor is again sweet malt, with some herbal nuances and coffee. Finish is long and sweet. Not bad. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2008
Brown colour with average-sized head. Toffee, vanilla and fudge in aroma. Smooth, almost jellyish mouthfeel, with notes of that of the aroma above. The house character of Jämtlands is back on track again, here with a pronounced grainy malt character, with a nice balancing bitterness. Great beer!
