Bottle at home. One year old bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown color with a big creamy khaki head. Malty aroma of toffee, pine, chocolate and heather. More hops in the flavor with pine and grapefruit. Some wood, dried fruit, caramel, roasted malt and rye bread as well. Slightly sour. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. A tasteful and hoppy English ale. Linnet (1834) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - APR 28, 2010
Amber colour, medium latte head, lacing.
Malty, roasted malts, bready, nutty, earthy hops, alcohol.
Very appealing bitterness, otherwise very English in style maltiness, roasted, toffee, fruity.
Smooth but a little thin.
This is a laidback enjoyable beer. LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 2, 2012
Dark golden, large beige head, lacing.

Taste: candy, fruity, grassy, earthy.
Works best with food. Joakgust (1456) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 16, 2008
50 cl botte - Thick amber colored beer with a small dark head. Aroma is dominated by english malts with some dried grass. Flavor rests heavily on caramel with some hops. Not as good as the X-mas sort. A bit disappointing really. Jonte (1413) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - MAR 18, 2010

500mL bottle, from lagomswedish. Pours clear brownish amber, with a short tan head. Sweet malt aroma, with some chocolate, anise and other herbs. Flavor is again sweet malt, with some herbal nuances and coffee. Finish is long and sweet. Not bad. Ingevara (910) - SWEDEN - MAR 26, 2008
Sturdy brown with a small vreamy head. Rich in aroma with lingering tones of raisins, coffee and hay. Slightly sweet, well balanced for most kinds of meals really. Bitter finish. Very enjoyable. DrBeer (862) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2010
Malty aroma with notes of barnyard. A bit smoky an vinous.
Sweet flavour with notes of barnyard. Dry.
Phenolic infection probably. Kriegbaum (845) - Randers, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2012
Sample from the bottle. Dark golden beer with a medium white head. Sweet aroma of malt pg hops with notes of citrus. The taste of sweet malt and caramel, yet dry with notes of citrus and hops.
