Cask gravity at the Tewkesbury Winter Ale Festival, 02/02/2008. A very interesting aroma and taste of freshly ground, fruity coffee. Rather like well-roasted peaberry. Some hoppy notes which balance it out and a slightly bitter finish. berkshirejohn (6654) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2009
Cask at the Live and Let Live, Cambridge. Reddish copper with a thin ring of beige head; autumn fruit aroma; autumn fruit flavour, with sourish plums and greengages and sweet blackberries; the finish is warming and slightly spicy with some dark roasted malts giving a dry background. Very good. Gazza (727) - Worcester, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2004

Cask (Isis, Sunderland) - Dark brown with red tinges. Roasted malt, cocoa and dried fruit in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with notes of raisins, caramel, cocoa and roasted malt. CharlieTwoPies (35) - United Kingdom, - APR 11, 2014
Gravity pour Yeovil beer fesdtival. Very dark red/dark brown, good but thin head which dies relatively quickly. Aroma of unripe plums, raisins, brown malt, and caramel. Very well balanced taste with a touch of burnt bitterness balancing the very, very slight caramel and ripe berry sweetness. Leaves a full juicy feel behind; very nice GarethYoung (1111) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - NOV 10, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2006 [Cask at The Three Judges] Deep brown colour with a thin, tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate arma with some burnt notes on the palate. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, dry, roasty finish.
[2nd rating] Weird, much less roasted character ths time, leaning more towards fruit and sweeness, seems like a different beer. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 6, 2006
