COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vår amerikanske amber ale er et rødbrunt brygg hvor maltsødme og humlebitterhet får sette hverandre i en lun og behagelig balanse. Glimrende til mat, men også helt fortreffelig i seg selv.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2017 24.08.2017, 0,5l bottle (batch #34) @ home:
Soft gusher. Huge fizzy foreverlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry and fresh funky, brett, hay, minerals, grass, fruit stones, bark, grain, weeds, paper, toast. Taste is harsh mineraly, weeds, metal tank, bloodlike minerals, bark, hay, grass, brett, paper, grain, toast, cardboard. Medium bitterness, harsh metallic mouthfeel. Infected crap!

Sampled at Gladmat, Malt & Humle 2017. Unclear amber body with a dense off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toast and some dry fruit. Flavor is smooth, light roasted malt, some caramel, dry fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent but not much more.

Bottle from Palme. Many thanks! Orange colour, creamy white foam. Sweet malty nose with bitter hoppy citrussy notes. Easy drinkable. Well balanced. Good amber ale.

0.5l bottle. This one pours a cloudy amberish copper colored body with a ice big lasting and really lacing fluffy off-white head. On the nose it had a ice little caramelly sweetness. That combined with a generic fruitiness, some cognac and a little red berries. It smells kinda dryish in a sweet way, but I like it. It tastes nice also. Lots and lots of biscuity malts. Liquid biscuits. It has a good oily texture in the mouth and and it has a really comfortable creamy prickling carbonation level. Red berries in the taste also. Vanilla and it’s just a really tasty lightdrinkable malty amber this. Didn’t think I would, but I Really liked this one. 22.04.2017

Holmen2 (3880) - NORWAY - APR 10, 2017
Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 10.04.17.Clear chestnut colour. Off-white beige head and lacing. Aroma of medium dark malt, nuts, dark syrup and dried fruit. Similar taste, with bitter malt, hops and brittle. Hops and brittle is lingering on. Also a hint of malt sourness in taste.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Reddish brown colour, moderate to low white head. Aroma of moderately roasted malts. Moderately roasted malts in the dry flavour too, with a fairly distinct hop bitterness in the finish.

Smak: Fruktig og frisk.

Kommentar: Greit nok å runde 100 med nytt lokalt bryggeri.

Holmen1 (6304) - Stavanger, NORWAY - JUL 14, 2016

From bottle at the brewery launch at Hinna Bistro. Pours unclear dark golden with a small head. Aroma of caramel and amber malts. Taste is moderate sweet grainy malts and caramel, watery mouthfeel, herbal dry short finish. Yeasty notes as well, not a favourite.
