Very light caramel color. Smells of hay and green apple (very slight though). Very light taste. An easy, drinkable lager. Smooth finish.

2015 BJCP Category: 5B Kölsch
AROMA: Lightly sweet clean grainy malt aroma with a touch of honey and wheat. A slight fruit aroma is present as well. Some spicy hops in the background. Clean fermentation. 10/12
APPEARANCE: Maize yellow/golden hue; mostly clear with effervescence always visible. Small white foam never completely dissipates. 2/3
FLAVOR: Lovely pale malt sweetness makes up the majority of the palate. A clean grainy maltiness akin to cereal or wheat bread. There is background fruity note that complements the malt. A subtle spicy hop bite at the apex. Aftertaste is akin to honey, but eventually fades cleanly. 18/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body; moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Very sessionable at 5% ABV. 5/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: JDub’s got this absolutely to spec, which is rare and impressive. I wish more drinkers appreciated this style. 9/10
TOTAL SCORE: 44/50
Can from Publix in Fort Myers Beach. Wheat, lemon zest and some kinda spice. Fruit and malt flavor that’s growing on me as I sip. Not bad compared to the Cologne kolschs I’ve had. More metallic. jjgmd (2223) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 23, 2017
Can. Pours a hazy golden copper color with an ephemeral beige head. Wheaty and grainy nose . Taste is bready and full of lingering awful wheat. Finish is full of grain and wheat...rather flat and without taste. Was not expecting very much so no real surprises . Quaff Score 4 / 10 Ratman197 (15220) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - DEC 17, 2016
On tap at JDub’s poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, fruitiness and light citrus with a smooth dry lingering fruity finish. PhillyBeer2112 (2884) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUN 28, 2016
Nobody’s ever gonna go crazy for a kolsch, I guess. But this works. Light nose hints at hops, somewhat lemony, somewhat dusty, very mild floral hints. More body than expected, a nice medium rounded sweet breadiness, almost a little too sweet really, which isn’t great for the "refreshing character" I think this beer is aiming for. Hints of lemon candy in the aftertaste. Bright gold, clear.
