stravale (3088) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - SEP 12, 2012
Cask @ Cumberland Arms, Tynemouth 070912
Golden amber, thin white head, suspended bubbles, clear
Aroma - soft cereal malts, light bitter bit spicy hops
Taste - light caramel malt, hint of toasted malt, bitter english hops, touch of yeast, bit of flint, rather hum drum
Palate - soft carb, thin body. Finish - as main flavour, bit more fruity yeast comes through
Overall - Standard ale, bit bitter than average

[cask, The White Hart, Bouth] Amber brown pour with a large white head from the sparkler. Slightly nutty aroma, with some caramel sweetness. Grass and hay on the nose too. Flavours are very balanced, there’s some citrus fruit, before the malty, nutty bitter finish comes on. Good stuff [26082012]

Faint biscuit aroma. Deepgold with full white head. Subtle notes of biscuit and lemon, with a rounded mouthfeel.

mr_h (5841) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - APR 22, 2012
Cask by handpump at Malt Cross, Ayr (7 Apr 12) - clear solid gold, non-existent white head, bit cold, watery, caramel malt, apple note, refreshing

AshtonMcCobb (6869) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 21, 2012
In tap at Four Marys in Linlithgow. Pours dark amber to brown with a proportionate head. The nose has resin and some bitterness but not a pleasant aromatic bitterness. The taste is more if the same. The palate is medium bodied and textured but unfortunately the bitterness in the end is like astringent dry malt. Overall, not a fan.

ladnewton (2016) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2012
Cask at the Gallery, Pimlico, on 21st January 2012. Copper with thin off-white foam ring. Sweet caramel aroma. Malty with sugary sweetness and berry fruits. Citric hop late. Fruity citric aftertaste. Watery mouthfeel and a light body.

tombyars (1749) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 1, 2012
First tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in April 1991. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear russet in colour with a thin creamy white head. Slight note of biscuity malt present in the short aroma. Thin but creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a rich digestive biscuit flavour with redcurrant fruit evident. Good prickle of dusty, earthy hops in the bitter aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with vinous cask notes present. A decent session bitter.

ralphdot (1100) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2012
4.0% gold colour with a good head, not much aroma, not much taste (compared to other Jennings beers), slightly bitter.

johndoughty (5521) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2011
Cask at the wonderful Meadow Inn at Ironbridge on our family Christmas meal. In good condition but fairly bland with no dominating flavour. Dissapointing.
