head, leominster. Golden amber with small head and decent head. Aroma of biscuit malt. Taste is biscuit malts and mild bittering hops. Ok beer.
Cask. Light pale gold ale with a very thick white head. Head makes the nose non-existant but the taste reveals itself to be full of citrus. Lemon and Lime. A true "proper" bitter, which makes it tasty and drinkable... But boring. berkshirejohn (6444) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2014
Cask at the Bird in Hand, Knowl Hill, Reading. A bright pale amber pour with a scummy looking white head; grainy body with a citrus taste; and a clean grapefruit finish. Pleasant and refreshing. allmyvinyl (10480) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 25, 2014

Cask, dark gold with clingy white head, malty faintly grapefruit nose, citrus-bitter over biscuit and peach malt, a little unbalanced in the direction of bitterness though. edsspoon (894) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2014
Golden, slightly hazy, with a thin creamy white head. Very little aroma, some malt, sourness and a hint of grassy hops. Taste of citrus, hops and loads of bitterness. DandyLion (518) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 28, 2014
Cask at The Clarendon Leicester. Golden colour beer, thin white head. A pretty poor middle of the road beer to be honest. A bit of a mess but drinkable. Astringent bitterness but not in a good way.

Hint of chocolate in the aroma, which was somewhat surprising for the style. Pretty good beer, earthy, nicely balanced, good for a session. Leighton (21075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2013
Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a moderate, frothy white cap. Aroma holds some lemony hops and dry grains and straw. Light sweet flavor with unpleasant, astringent bitterness along with disjointed, dry and lightly sweet dough, grass and straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Harsh, grassy bitterness to finish, really astrigent and actually a tall order to drink. Unbalanced, not good.
