Countbeer (6589) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 4, 2011
Draught @ OBM’11:
Small off white head on top of a clear dark brown colored beer.
Smell gass, malts, sweets.
Taste light toasted malts, barleys, toasted brown sugars, hint of fruit (red fruit), gas and a hint of hops.
Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture. jaghana (6364) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - SEP 19, 2011
Bottle 33cl from Altonbrownd thanks ! A brown beer with good head, nose is malty. Aroma is caramel like, malty, candy sugar and cereal notes, near to a dubbel, very nice beer. Quite sweet, some round hops at the finish, pleasant, a bit alcoholic, nice creamy body. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 17, 2013
(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear deep copper with soda-like fine tan bubbles. Nose of caramel, light brown sugar, and agave syrup. Taste of alcohol, toasty, sweet, well carbonated, odd medicinal linger. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Reddish-amber pour with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee, brown sugar and cherries. The flavor is also quite fruity. I get a lot of caramel and dark fruit notes, but those are accompanied by some brown sugar and Belgian yeast. Very sweet overall. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 24, 2012
Brown bodied, tan head. Nice big lacing. Nutty, caramel, spruce, humus. Well developed. Rich flavour combining a smooth malty sweetness with just enough hop backup. Carbonation is just big enough. Brings, then, what so many Belgian dubbels can’t. Absolutely hides the huge abv. Well made classic style beer. Enjoyed this a lot. (33cl bottle, pretty cheap too)

Bottle from Beer Mania. Dark amber body with tan head. Nose is malty, toffee, caramel. Some fruit notes. Taste is also caramel, sugar and some fruits. Spicy. Syrupy texture. With bitter in the finish. High ABV was not noticeable. Enjoyable. Alengrin (5893) - BELGIUM - AUG 22, 2014
Heavy dark Jessenhofke launched in 2010. Intended as a provision, beer, with off-white, sticky head and deep bronze colour. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, hazelnuts, pear, honey, liquorice, candi sugar. Dark fruits in the mouth, yeasty, chocolatey maltiness, some roasted bitterness in the end. A Scotch-style ale in my view and not at all a true bière de garde, but interesting nonetheless. BoBoChamp (5754) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 75cl, as Jessenhofke RSRV, new organic brew Anno 2010, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, small head, nice brew MarcoDL (5478) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2013
Flavor is malty, sweet and a little roasted. But overall it tastes rather flatt. Boring beer. ShivanDragon (4704) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2012
