Bottle from the Bottle Stop, Cheadle Hulme. Drunk at home. Poured a hazy reddish dark mahogany with a medium tan head. Nose was dark malt, wood, herbs and spice. Lively carbonation. Sweetish flavour which was again heavy on the dark malts with a vague metallic tang. Dryish slightly bitter finish. Drinkable, if rather forgettable. daniele (9977) - ITALY - MAR 14, 2010

Bottle 33 cl. Hpduvel, Gent.
Tatse on 29.10.09.
Red brown color, with beige head.
Aroma bit dark fruits, roasted malts. Medium body.
Taste some notes from dark wheat beers, start sweet, some spice touch, dry. Regular brown. JorisPPattyn (10137) - BELGIUM - OCT 20, 2009
Good, irregular brown-yellow head over red-brown beer, well-carbonated. Dark malts, bread and dry firbranches, cedar. Iron in the nose. Sweet, lightly spicy, and again old, dark bread. Again ironoxyde in the taste. The water? Added for the head? Thick, creamy MF, with a drier, but rather empty finish. Slick (wheat?), nearly sticky after swallowing. A bit disappointing finish; rest makes up for an easy drinking beer, agreable if not really great.
