Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish, caramel malts, red berries, grass, sorrel, hay, berry skin, rhubarb. Taste is slightly sour-ish smoked, grass, red berries, hay, leather, smoked malts, minerals, grass, rhubarb. Medium bitterness, dry slightly acidic mouthfeel. Nice.

750ml bottle. Caramel malt aroma with Brett funk and light grape. Pours cloudy amber colored with a thin white head that has poor retention and lacing. It pours light answer L amber with an off white head. The aroma has berries, mild sourness, funky yeast and hint of oak (even with no oak involved). 750, capped. Thanks, R (I think)!. Batch 3. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose white head. Tangy funk on the nose, some earthy caramel notes. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Tangy, earthy funk and caramel on the mid palate. Pleasant and drinkable but not spectacular.

Cloudy mahogany orange, lighter tan. Funky berry, basement and barn smells. Quite sour, a hint of bitterness, a bit of sweetness. Medium oily body, very acidic. Long finish. Excellent.

after bottling monkthoughts. two finger beautifully beige foam. Mahogany slight haze. Yeasty Brett/ funky oak red currant notes. Plenty of qcomplex sour/ Brett flavours. Like wet leather blended with a little goat. Intense sour dry finish. Super interesting. For the nerdy taster though.

Lightly gushing, black cherry-to-magenta-amber body shows a light haziness despite my best efforts of mitigating the gushing. Huge head is light beige and well-retained.
Very fruity nose also shows a good deal of acetic character, with very light chocolate from the malts and tons of earth and horsey brett. Lots of pepper, but no alcohol or flaws.
Quite sour in the mouth, with the malts adding bread, dry chocolate, and light, dry toffee. Plentiful amounts of acetic and lactic acid with tons of fruitiness and a lot of hard mineral character from the water and yeasts. Bone dry, exposing light to moderate astringency.
Very silly to call this "Another failed attempt by the Americans at sours", as does tderoeck. Is this a Cantillon or a 3F? No. Is it trying to be? No. Yes, this has perhaps a bit too much acetic character coming off as lightly chemical in nature. Have I found this character in many, many lambics and other Belgian sour ales? Absolutely.
It’s a fine attempt at a sour ale and obviously brewed with a high degree of care and quality.
