COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ambrée was inspired by the rustic farmhouse ales of French Flanders, particularly those brewed by Brasserie Thiriez in Esquelbecq — one of our favorite breweries in the world. Ambrée is a dry, tart, naturally conditioned amber ale fermented and matured with dozens of different strains of brewers’ yeast, native wild yeast, brettanomyces yeast, and souring bacteria. It’s 6.4% alcohol by volume, has a finishing gravity of 1.005, and is 3.5 pH.

Clear medium amber color with a frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, fruity, earthy, light to moderate hoppy, leather - funky notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, wood, earthy. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20140502]

From tap. Pours hazy brown to orange with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty, light phenolic and cooked vegetables. Dry fruity, yeasty and mild citric. Dry citric far finish.

Draught at CBC 2014. Hazy orange-red coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and barnyard. Light acidic flavour of hay, caramel and barnyard. Tart finish.

[email protected] Reddish brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some mild sour wooden notes as well as mild spiciness and some yeast. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some red berries and a nice tartness to go along with it. Wellbalanced, and quite smooth palate.

Draft @ CBC 2014. Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Has a fruity spicy sour aroma with weak yeasty hints. Fruity sour spicy flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy sour weak yeasty finish.

CBC Session 2. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and with a sharp minerally crispness. Seltzer and tart dried fruits. Touch of gueuze. Light finish. Not bad.

Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, Session 2. Pours clear amber with a foamy, off-white head. Nice beer, pretty tasty, well balanced. Some tangy berries, moderate acidity, wet wood, lightly juicy berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with further tart fruits and cleansing acidity. Solid.
