Bottle (75cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Huge, dark beige/brown head, slowly reducing to a thick film, no lacing. Pitch black colour. Rich aroma of tobacco, roasted malt, lightly burnt wood, coffee, chocolate, licorice, demerara sugar, tangy fruit. Fairly sweet taste, fabulously balanced by woody dryness and blackcurrant-like acidity. Full body, soft carbonation. Lingering aftertaste with associations to raw licorice and tannic red wine. jmgreenuk (9443) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - DEC 31, 2014
Bottle shared with a friend. Yes I do have one :-) Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is molasses, rich boozy alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich peaty earthy alcoholic, coffee, dark chocolate, liqourice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. deanso (10128) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 31, 2014
