Bottled. More or less pitch black colour with a beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, ashes, some ripe dark fruits as well as mild liquorice. Flavour is very dark chocolate, some coffee, mild nuttiness as well as some ashes, ripe fruits, alcohol and some hints of liquorice. Smooth to drink and although big, not all too thick. Bottled at Linköping Beer Expo. Near black, brief head. Aroma of green apples and licorice. Really sweet, full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Thick and viscous, heavy on caramel and syrup. White pepper finish. The only thing brutal here is the sweetness. madmitch76 (25382) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2013

Opaque black beer. Massive dark tan head, persistent. Palate is semi dry and pretty well carbonated, perhaps overly so. Dark chocolate with sour wet wood. Whisper of emulsion paint. Pinch of spice. Dry finish with more dark chocolate. Not bad but I like by Impys a little sweeter.
