Absoultely loved this from cask at the Draught House in Austin. Presentation is like an English real ale, with the same free-drinking body. But the sour twists and the beautifully accenting hops make this rare and wonderful - - an exciting play on a variety of understated themes - - sort of a farmhouse ESB saison barleywine. I would give anything to have this stuff in the fridge, or otherwise handy, but I don’t think they bottle it, and I live in Wisconsin.
Tap at brewery. Pours clear dark straw some head and some lacing. Nose is fruity, red wine. Notes of tart cherries, grape must, barnyard. Medium sweet, light/med tart. Medium sticky body with lively carbonation. Lubiere (13905) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 19, 2017

Sample at Aficionado’s during the "Big Bad Bottle Share" on 02/10/2017. Hazy bright orange color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of funky lemon, yeast and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of funky yeast, citrus, oak and malt. The finish is funky citrus and yeast. Pretty good overall. anstei (2247) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JAN 29, 2017

Bomber. Thanks, Mike. Sour fruity nose, tart peach, some tropical fruit notes, too. Medium yellow/amber color. Light sour fruit initial, smooth stone fruit in mid, moderate bittering. Thin body and quite astringent. Interesting, tart, and tasty. stevoj (5038) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 16, 2016
750ml bottle from last night’s share. Pours out a cloudy opaque brown with a small beige head. Aroma is initially some light fruity notes, tartness also comes through, as does some of the barrel. Taste is initially the sourness, but behind that lingers the fruity tastes and a bit of savory spice. BuckeyeBoy (7669) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 15, 2016

Bottle; Pour is deep gold, with a one finger white head into this glass. It retains poorly , with light lace presence. The nose is musty, minerals, with bready malts and lemon grass notes. Pepper Spice revels itself as well. The flavor profile is a little rough around the edges- which... is fitting I suppose to the packaging elements of this beer. It begins initially tart sour notes with lemon pie, and a certain harshness from the brett and the dry hopping, which reveals more light tropical notes and bittering. Notes of hay and more white pepper round things out to a dry, boozy finish line and oaky tannins. It would be difficult to attribute the word delicate as the brewer did with this beer. I would ultimately call this another somewhat muddled but fun attempt from Jester King Bule (2163) - California, USA - AUG 8, 2016
750ml bottle pours a brown color with a bit of head. Nice sour funk balance. Tannic barrel. Some currant flavor.
