COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddha’s Brew is a 4.7% alcohol by volume sour wheat ale fermented entirely in oak barrels and blended with Buddha’s Brew Kombucha. We racked unfermented wort directly into oak barrels and inoculated it with souring bacteria. From there, it spent nine months aging in our barrel room before being blended with live Kombucha from Buddha’s Brew at bottling. Like all our beer, it’s unfiltered, unpasteurized & naturally carbonated through re-fermentation in the bottle.

Draft at Borefts. Very pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma of belly button and feet, with lemon. Taste is sour and dusty lemons. Very nice.

at de molen ... light hazy yellow amber ... thin white head ... soft funk nose ... tart sour lemon ... sharp fruits... ok but some juicyness rangeness

Yellow to white hazy, white lace. Fine yoghurt lime pie sourness, some white sugar, really nice. Sharp taste at first, dims when sipping. Bready and well made. (On tap at Borefts 2012)

Hazy yellow. White head. Fizzy. Super tart and quite sour. Pretty good but the tartness is a bit overstated.

Draught. Nose is sharply sour with earthy, funky notes and peaches. Cloudy orange with no head. Flavor is sour and complex, nearly gueuze-like. Firm acidity, a touch of a rubbery barnyardiness in the middle, and some peachy fruit tones in the finish. Really good depth, and surprisingly not too acetic considering the acetobacter in kombucha. Way better than expected.

Poured from a never-labeled bomber complements of Jeff, thanks man!
Aroma: white wine, slight vinigar/Kombucha, sweet/fruity
Appearance: not impressive, murky, cloudy, light, piss colored, dirty looking.
Taste: White grapes, Kombucha tea, dry, not smooth but very pleasant.
Palate: Very nice on the tongue, light, sparkly, medium to heavy carbonation complements the taste very nicely. Enjoyable mouth feel.
Overall: An ugly beer that is very nice and left all of us wanting another. had a novice beer drinker with us who was obsessed. This is the next step after la Petite Prince. This beer has depth and complexity that was unexpected and much appreciated. Very original and awesome. Keep up the good work JK!
