COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Buddha’s Brew is a 4.7% alcohol by volume sour wheat ale fermented entirely in oak barrels and blended with Buddha’s Brew Kombucha. We racked unfermented wort directly into oak barrels and inoculated it with souring bacteria. From there, it spent nine months aging in our barrel room before being blended with live Kombucha from Buddha’s Brew at bottling. Like all our beer, it’s unfiltered, unpasteurized & naturally carbonated through re-fermentation in the bottle.

Bottle... darkguardian’s & biggsbowler’s West Palm Beach Birthday Bash!... This beer rocks!… Hazy straw-colored pour with a small, white head that’s gone in the blink of an eye. The nose offers lemon-like acidity and pale grains. Medium to full-bodied with tickling carbonation. The flavor is eye-twitchingly sour with fruity, but clean acidity. Loads of sourness and fruitiness linger in the aftertaste. Many thanks go out to Rosebuds butternuts for floating this bottle of world class beer my way!

Was very impressed with this beer. Something about the Kombucha and the souring just working very well together. Floral, Earthy and funky, finishes with a great sour taste.

Bottle:   Pale straw, small sudsy white head, little lacing.   Tart wheaty nose.   Faint woodiness.   Seems a bit mild on the tongue.   I would classify this as a "Tart Ale" as it isn’t overly caustic.

Tart wheatiness, more woodiness than the nose suggests.   Fairly simple, clean, lactic, but somewhat one dimensional.   Falls off quickly.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish reminds me a bit of white wine for

some reason.   Perhaps its the oak? Decent, perhaps a good entry Sour Ale, but nothing to write home about.   Still enjoyable tho.   Thanks for the bottle Bill!
