Had with Bruce from a bottle he picked up at a gas station in Austin and generously shared. Pours a clear golden with two fingers of foamy head. Aroma is yeasty with lots of citrus and some funk. Really nice aroma. Flavor follows with lots of citrus, especially orange peel, and nice bitterness. More funk. Very light and refreshing and bursting with flavor. Really nice beer. Enjoyed this almost as much as the company of Bruce.

weihenweizen (3751) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAR 18, 2015
Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle, blended on August 14, 2014, poured into a glass. Clear golden with small/medium white head. Aroma is dry yeasty aroma, medium/light body, medium/light carbonation, and some medium-bubble lacing. Taste is yeasty, some funk, a little oak, little complexities, and dry finish. Saison, not a sour.

07/03/2015 sample from 750 ml bottle @ ACBF 2015, Vichte. Hazy orangr. Aroma : lemon, hops, funky. Taste : lemon, citrus, hops. This is not my favorite taste but I could imagine opening a bottle on a hot summer’s day and I would be glad with it.

77ships (9638) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 8, 2015
Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ ACBF 2015. Hazy orange, little head. Nose is huge lemon, citrus, lemon, peel zest sour mixed with delicious fruity hops. Taste is lemon, hay, funk, lots of hops, funk, crazily drinkable, in part thanks to the sourness. Outstanding beer. Really loved it. (Thanks for sharing people!!!)

sebletitje (10067) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAR 8, 2015
Bottle sample @ ACBF 2015.

Swaroga (2213) - Warszawa, POLAND - MAR 7, 2015
Sampled at ACBF 2015. Rich in flavor with a well balanced game between sourness, malt notes and hoppy notes. The bitterness is also mellow. Overall well hopped and refreshing . Good thirst quencher. I enjoy hoppy and delicately sour beers and this one is a good example.

Bottle at ACBF. Smells like fecies sorry, but tastes good. Citrus, sour, berries. Nice.

UXO (1896) - CANADA - FEB 4, 2015
Pours hazy straw with one finger of rocky white head, excellent retention and lacing. (5/5) Nose is complex - wet hay and barnyard funk, woody oak, apples and pears, grapes, stone fruit, vinegar. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, mild bitter, mild tart. (6/10) Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. (3/5) Well, that’s different! Dunno how "saison" it is, but there’s loads of wild funk flavour there, along with some mild tartness and even a slight saltiness. Not to mention, oaky white wine and whiskey flavours. Bit of a kitchen sink, really, and takes some getting used to, but ultimately interesting and not at all unpleasant. A tad pricey for an interesting experiment, mind you... (12/20)
