Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with an off white head. Slightly hay. Smooth, drinkable barnyard hay character tasty. Very nice. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - DEC 29, 2014
Bottle: Thanks to huskermike. Light-orange, cloudy & hazy with a burnt center. Big-bubbled white head grows big & settles quick, some wet, sloppy lacing left on the glass. A nice cloud of funk blankets the aroma, alongside tart fruits; apple, white grape, lemon zest, generic stone fruit. Very mild vinous & tart character, hint of wood, vinegar, & acetic sourness. Back-end with more of a mild damp hay, horseblanket, & musty cork finish. Flavor has a nice cellar-floor, old cork & farmhouse funk right out of the gate. It settles in quickly to a sharp tartness; sour green apple, grape, lemon, mild apricot. Slightly acidic with some pleasing white wine vinegar notes in the latter half. Finishing wet oak, tannins, hay, must, & white grape. Light bouts of biscuit yeast, ending pretty clean & super dry. Loved the hell out of this one. A favorite JK regular rotation beer for me. Bottle from unknown via trade. Pours a cloudy straw color, little to no head. Aroma pears, some funk, Brett, new oak. Body lively, finish lively and sweet, with a broad, arch, oaky character. Really nice. A great example of the modern saison. ChrisSc (464) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2014
750ml bottle into wine glass. Minneapolis.
Pours cloudy golden/orange. Lacing on the glass. Nose is a little funky and tart peach. Taste is dry, tart. Texture is light, frothy, longer finish. Overall, this beer is really nice. Taste is not what I expected from the smell - which is very nice. Beer is very easy to drink.

From errl-thanks, Chris! Batch 15-Feb. ’14 in Dec. 14. Cloudy light gold. Nose is initially light wheat, light funk, lemon, but as it warms became soaring wet dried grass, light minerality. Could just sit and smell this. Wheat base, strong limestone minerality, lightly tart with lemon citrus. Not particularly ’saison’ to me, but good stuff regardless. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Very bright straw colored pour. Big white head. Not much lacing. Sour aroma with notes of whiskey and grape. Some peppery notes as well. Taste is a sour melange of the same. Finishes tart. mR_fr0g (12579) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2014
