From notes, consumed 8/24/2013. 750 ml bottle poured into a snifter. Bottle dated March 2013, batch 13. Black with two fingers of fluffy dark tan head. No lacing. Aromas of floral hops, roast, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, yeast and funk. Tastes of roast, nutty notes, dark chocolate, slight tartness, yeast and funk. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Pretty interesting. Artistdave (65) - Austin, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Deep dark brew, roast, chocolate , slight burnt, very rich, alcohol warmth, not for timid. Very good imperial stout. Danyel (1609) - Colorado, USA - AUG 31, 2014
Bottle. Pours black with deep tan head. Aroma is very chocolatey, roasty. Taste is thick, chocolate, rich, dry finish. Exceptional. chiiidog (42) - Lubbock, Texas, USA - AUG 29, 2014
The farmhouse yeast makes this beer interesting. Without that, it would be an average imperial stout. But I like the addition of the farmhouse yeast. Gives it a carbonated kick and an interesting flavor & mouthfeel. Habanero (4908) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2014
Bottled. Pours pitch black with an average, lacing and tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, coffee, notes of vanilla and yeast. Sweet flavor that ends up dry, with alcohol and slightly bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation.
